Itraconazole
Itraconazole is an antifungal agent that is prescribed to patients with fungal infections. The drug may be given orally or intravenously.
Fungitrace (Itraconazole) is the most effective oral antifungal drug among the available trizole group of antifungal agents, in both subacute and chronic fungal infections. It is a well tolerated antifungal, even in HIV patients. Fungitrace is however meant for the treatment of systemic fungal infection or in cases involving CNS, Itraconazole may not be adequate and it may be required to compliment the treatment with Amphotericin B. Fatty and acidic dietary intake helps its absorption. It is a highly lipophilic compound and is concentrated in Acidic dietary intake that helps its absorption. Potential side effects Of Itraconazole:
- Liver damage
- Congestive Heart Failure
